COURSE DESCRIPTION:

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Constructive disagreement can be a good thing when multiple viewpoints lead to stronger goals and perspective. Destructive conflict, however, can be damaging to an organization’s growth and future. This session will focus on equipping individuals with tools and techniques for managing conflict in a way that fosters productive relationships, collaboration, and decision-making.

  • Describe potential sources and characteristics of conflict
  • Recognize your conflict management styles and how this affects your interactions
  • Practice using different tools and techniques to aid in managing conflict

 

MEET THE FACULTY

Rich Yoo

Rich brings 25+ years of brand marketing and new product development experience, growing brands such as Lego Technic, Tombstone Pizza, Kraft Natural Cheese, Keebler Sandies, McDonald's, and Panda Express to the classroom.

At the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, Rich teaches MBA Marketing Strategy and is on the faculty at LFGSM’s Center for Leadership. He also serves as an Associate Director of MBA Employer Relations at the UChicago Booth School of Business. 

Rich has a BA from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the Mendoza College of Business at Notre Dame.
