Some conversations, particularly when individuals disagree, can be uncomfortable or challenging to manage. By preparing well for these necessary conversations and facilitating them in proactive and positive ways, leaders can strengthen trust and deliver better team outcomes.

  • Identify your patterns for managing challenging conversations
  • List the steps of preparing for a difficult conversation
  • Practice techniques for facilitating healthy dialogue
  • Learn techniques to use if the conversation turns negative

Faculty Highlight - Larry Brand

Larry is a dynamic human resources executive with significant leadership experience serving as an executive business partner and thought leader with CEOs, Board of Directors, and senior-level leadership teams.
 
Larry is CHRO at Justrite Safety Group, which manufactures industrial and environmental safety products. A member of the Executive Leadership Team, Larry provides strategic direction and oversees all aspects of the Global Human Resources function. Previously, Larry was CHRO for Elkay Manufacturing and SVP & CHRO for Sparton Corporation, where he led the company’s people strategy in alignment with aggressive M&A growth, product expansion, and organizational design.
